Question Returning to work-Question

Hi,

I'm still in the beginning of getting my approval but of course for work they need to know about when I'm going to take time off. I was wondering how long after the LAP-BAND® surgery were you back at work? I know that it can vary but just wondering my job is a sit down job no heavy lifting or anything like that.

Thank you

I work in an office. No lifting whatsoever...mostly sit down. Because of the position sitting down-I have choosen to take 2 weeks off. I will take Short term disability benefits.
Because of traffic here I will have to sit for extended periods of time between that and at the office and I would be at a high risk of blood clots.

I work from home so it's a little differant. It took me about a week to really start to feel like myself. I was fortunate enough not to have alot of pain, it was more exhaustion then anything. I would say it really depends on what you do for work. If you can take a week off then I would.
This is such an exciting time!!! Good luck!!!

I took off 6 days before I returned to the office. I do all my work on the computer, so a sit-down office job. I wasn't feeling so well on the 6th when I went in, so I worked an addtl 2 days after that from home.

I had surgery Friday, Jan. 25, took off the next Monday and Tuesday. I went back to work on Wednesday, Jan. 30. I have a desk job and have had no problems and I am feeling great!! Good Luck!
