Portion sizes

I was banded on Dec 14th. I was getting full and satisfied on small amounts of food around 1/2 cup, but now I seem to be able to eat larger portions. I dont want to stretch out my stomach.. I am able to eat 2oz of chicken, 1/2 cup of potatoes. Do you feel that Iam eating too much?

I have called my doctor and they just told me to eat more protein to help me to stay fuller longer. I lost 15lbs pre-op and only 3 since being banded. Iam starting to get worried.. Thanks:hungry:

I was banded on 11/14 and I started eating more and getting more hungry about 3 wks postop. I get hungrier every day. I go for my first fill this week so I know how you feel. It doesn't sound to me like you're eating too much, just make sure you get your proteins in first. Don't be worried, once you have a fill hopefully it'll get better.

Cherie Berry, it sounds like you are eating just enough. YOu may be a slow loser at 1 lb per week. That is what I am at. If you are worried about your food choices I would bump up the protein to 3 oz and omit the starch OR do a vegie instead. That may help you in the long run. If that doesn't work, its time for a fill. Good luck.
