Red face Losing weight too fast

Hi My surgery is Nov 10. I just wanted to know am I going to be losing the weight so fast that my skin won't have time to tighten up again? I know everyone is different but has anyone else had this problem?? I dont want to do this then later have to have a tummy-tuck to get ride of the skin?:help:

I don't think you will be losing THAT quickly... but only your genetics will tell you if your skin will snap back.

Personally I have lost and gained so many times that there is no hope... I can tell that my tummy is deflating and that ps is most likely in my future........

Drinking lots of water, exercise, age and genetics.......... GOOD LUCK!

I agree with Tracy. Some people can lose 100 lbs and be fine. In my case, down 85 I need a tummy tuck for sure when I get to goal. 23 more lbs.

Don't fret over it. It's pretty much out of your hands and you're at the mercy of your age and genetics. Creams and salves can grease you up, but I don't think anything is going to make a dramatic difference. Your skin will do what your skin will do. I'm watching a lot of mine melt away and also seeing some of it bag up...but at my age that is to be expected. I'm just happy it's not bulbous blubbers of fat anymore. Sags can be nipped and tucked, so I'll take an inventory in about another 10-20 pounds and see where I stand.

I have good skin! I have lost over 100 pounds and I don't really think I'll need a tummy tuck.
So, you are right, everyone is different.

Me too. There's loose skin there for sure, but not problematic or visible. Its just the luck of the draw.

Concentrate on the weight first, you cant worry about everything. Its not in your control, so try to relax about it and worry about it later.

I know I will need a tummy tuck after all is said and done. My skin was all stretched out from having 3 babies and being so overweight. After losing 51 pounds it is evident that surgery is in the future. It's just the luck of the draw.
