Hi Newbie with questions

I think I posted my response in the wrong thread so I'll start here.

I wanted to have gastric bypass surgery but now that I went to my initial session, the band is starting to sound like a better choice. I'd like some input especially for people with Diabetes. My BMI is 43 and I'd like to lose about 110 lbs. I'm just learning about LAP-BAND® and would love some input

Hi Lady,

I was banded last October and started with a BMI of 44. I wanted to lose about 150 pounds and so far I have lost about 80. This band has been the best thing for me. Like you I am also a diabetic and wear an insulin pump. Before the surgery I was taking 3.25 units per hour. Now I am down to .7/hr.

Good luck,

Jonathan

I recommend the gatric bypass-i had it through lapbandinternational.com--i had a great experinece and they have a great special right now. No adjustments needed--no side effects and well worth it. Good Luck!

James,
Gastric bypass with adjustments? I'm confused. Do you mean you had the LAP-BAND® procedure?

Thanks.

Also, those of you who are banded, are you still hungry all the time?
