Does It Slow Down?

Hi Y'all,

I Got My Band 1/24/07 And To Date Have Lost 45lbs. How Ever Lately I Can't Get Any Weight Off Of Me. I've Cut Calories And Been Watching What I'm Eating But I'm Going Back And Forth With The Same 4 Lbs. Someone Told Me That If You Get A Fill And Loose Weight That You'll Need A Fill Again Soon Bc Your Stomch Gets Smaller And So The Fill Doesn't Work Anymore. Is This True? Any How I Just Really Feel Like I'm At A Stand Still And Am Looking For Advice. So Any And All Advice Would Be Appericated.

45# in 17 weeks is approx. 2.6# per week. You are losing at a faster rate than doctors even recommend. Yes, you will go thru periods when you don't lose anything at all. That is normal. Sometimes those periods can last weeks!! Looks like you're doing perfectly OK to me.

Also.. try moving a little more. Excercise can DEFINATELY get that scale moving!! You're doing great.

Ryan,
I agree with the above posters.
I had 5 plateaus in my 8 months. One lasted a month.
My person that is assigned to me at the gym told me to exercise harder to get past a plateau. She suggested walking a little faster. Then go back to my normal pace. I would walk a faster lap then 2 at regular pace.
Good luck,
edie
