Cruise Trip What to Eat

I just started on food.... soft food broiled chicken, broiled fish etc.

I have only had one episode of "PBing... gagging" it was at home and only lasted a little while.

Our cruise is first of April what can I eat? I know chew chew chew... but I really don't want to get that "gagging, slime" feeling on the boat or at dinner.

If any suggestions would love to hear them.

Try and keep your diet high in protein. Make sure you take very small bites, chew well and eat very slowly. That will help if you PB. Have fun!

Yup agree, lots of protein and eat slowly. Many ships have a gym or walking track.
Have Fun!

I went on a cruise this past July which was 7 months after I was banded. I didn't have any problems (one episode of PB when I tried to eat a roll). They had buffet type setups for breakfast, lunch and dinner, in addition to the formal dining room option for dinner, with a variety of things that I was able to select from. I was able to pick protein items(chicken, fish options) , salads etc. Most ships have weight rooms and of course there is the opportunity for alot of walking.

Do you like seafood? Fish is a great food, high in protein, low in fat and soft. The two cruises that I've been on had LOTS of fish.

I'm going on a cruise in April too!!
with all the other cruises I've been on, there was always yummy soups, and lots of seafood. I think we'll be fine. But, it will suck not eating those wonderful rolls. Man, I'm going to totally miss that.. and be sad. It will be my first banded cruise and I will have to deal with figuring out how to enjoy it when it's not being spent thinking about dinner.

sounds like your biggest problem won't be what to eat, but not overeating! Lots of choices!
