Well, I see this thread is super busy today.
Going for my MRI today. Gotta see why I keep getting headaches and I can't hear out of my right ear. Brother, I hate these machines....BUT, I will say, I was almost 300 last time I was in one, so this should be good that way!!! Valium, here I come!!

State: Beautiful Colorado | Good morning, my new biking friends! Last night hubby got a bike!! Now I have a biking companion when I want one (sometimes I won't LOL). We went last night for our first ride and he wanted me to show him the route I take. He was impressed as I start out with a big hill (some day that hill will seem much smaller I hope) and we went about a mile and a half. Seems so small compared to you folks, but I have to remember I gotta start some where. I like to start out on this hill and get it over with, but it does burn me out in about the first 5 min. Now hubby says I should go this other way and avoid that hill and ride longer on flatter so I don't burn out so quick. I avoid that way as there is a hill coming home and I am afraid of hills at the end of my journey. He says it's much smaller than the one I just climbed. What do you think? Is it better to build strength on the biggest hill and go shorter? Or would it be better to ride longer, flatter? Tonight we are going his way and he says if I can't do the hill coming home to stop and he'd go home and come back and get me. I didn't ride this morning as my neighbor suprised me at the door and asked me to walk with her. So walk in the morning and ride at night. Oh and I am down 2 more lbs today!! YAHOO!!

Good job on the two pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats great. As for the hill, I have a very small bump by my house that I use to call a hill. I had to walk up it when I first started. I haven't walked my bike for a long long time now. I think, try it your hubbys way and see. you might surprise yourself.

I am going to do at least 27.8 miles tonight to get to 200 miles or below for my goal this season. Then a couple of more weeks, I should hit goal for myself.

Plus it is prettier that way as we can go on a trail around some little lakes in our subdivision.

Well, we got in a little over 10 miles this morning after my test. The 2 girls wemt, and we got about 5 miles in the ride and she noticed her handelbars were crooked....BAD
So, we deverted over to the bike shop and waited for him to open so he could fix them. Got them fixed, and they were done...they wanted to stop riding...I was not happy.....we did finish and that was a ok warm up ride for tommorow.....
kind of dissapointed to tell you the truth

I feel you on the disappointment. Thats how it gets sometimes when my DD goes. She lolligags around and pedals really hard, then stops pedaling for a long time, then she is way behind, then she passes and stops pedaling and then all of a sudden she is done. We are 10 miles from home and she wants to be done. I think when she goes it is just going to have to be a recreational ride, then I won't get disappointed!!
Went for the MRI and will hear Monday hopefully.
