When you create your program, you determine how much weight to lose a week and it lets you know what your deficit should be.

So, has everyone had the experience so far that if you hit your deficits every day, you do lose as much as you expected to?

Argon: The limited data device does sound interesting, but you can always download your info from the BB (more than once a day).
BBusers: I'm wondering if there is a way to view what you've recorded after you've pushed finished? Is there a way to see what you've already recorded and what your day is like thus far? I'm new and haven't figured this out yet. Thanks..

Karey,
Scroll down and look on the bottom left side of page where you log in your calories. The buttons will say calories burned, nutrition, calorie balance, steps, and physical activity. Click on nutrition and it will tell you everything that you have recorded to eat that day. But the middle of the page is where you really see how you are doing for the day. Watch the calorie deficit and make sure that it hits your target for the day. If you are running behind, just a short walk will make a huge difference.

Hello all,
I don't have one, YET, but really hoping to get a few last questions answered from the ones who have it.
1. Do you type your foods for the day into the BB or the computer?
2. Do you have to type in everything you eat in the morning, or do you do as you eat something?
3. Does it just plugg into your computer and download all your information there. Then you can tell what you have left to burn to lose a calorie?
This almost sounds too good to be true. I'm only 6 days post op, so I'm losing a lot each day still, but for later on, this sounds like a really great thing to have.
Thanks for your replies in advance.

You keep track of your foods on the computer. You can type in everything you plan to eat of the morning, but I usually log it in twice a day. The Body Bugg has a wireless adapter that communicates with the website to record how much you have exercised. It is as simple as pressing a button and waiting for it to download.
One of the best features of the website is that for calories burned, it will show you exactly how many calories you have already burned AND how many calories you will burn if you don't do anything else the entire day. It takes out all of the guess work. I try to exercise until it says that I can stay sedentary the rest of the day and still meet or exceed my exercise goal for the day. I love my body bugg!

Becky thanks for your speedy reply. I have one more question, but I will ask the BB counselor if you don't know. I go to water aerobics a few days a week and wanted to manual enter in an appropriate amount of calories burned, but I can't figure out how to. Do you have any experience with this? I'm loving the BB. Yesterday, I went for a short walk after dinner and it made all the difference in my weight loss and meeting my goal. I've already lost 1 pound since I started using it, 3 days ago. I love the instant feedback. I'm logging in twice a day also.

Hi All,
Thought I would update everybody. I haven't logged in a while because, well, the scales were going up. Yes, even witht he BB. So, yesterday, I went to my Dr. to get an adjustment. A couple of weeks ago, I was too tight..then, when he took some out, I was too lose. UGH! Oh, the fun of the Lap Band. LOL!! So, anyways, when I weighed in yesterday, it showed a 3.8lb weight gain.:omg: But, the good news...IT WAS MUSCLE!! :whoo: Now, does anybody know how I log that into the BB!! BTW, I have no idea how I gained the muscle. Wish I knew so I could do that again. My Dr. was very happy and is putting me as one of his patients on his website. Great, now I'm going to be very accountable. LOL!! I stilll love my bodybugg and I'm going on 5 weeks of owning it. It keeps me accountable...wether I gain or lose. LOL!!
So, I'm back up to 242...but, that is muscle gain. I'll take it.

Christy: How do you know it was muscle that you gained? Just curious...

My Dr. has special scales that prints out a detailed body composition analysis – weight, impedance, body fat %, body mass index, fat mass, fat-free mass and more. He's able to tell me if I lose/gain muscle. He would rather see me gain muscle than lose weight and muscle. Whenever I do have a gain, It's usually muscle so I'm very happy about that. :whoo:I really need to stay off my scales and just stick with his. I feel better about myself on his.

Charlotte | I would too! Wow that's such a great tool I need one! Kudos to you for staying off the scale and not worrying about a small climb-I KNOW how frustrating that can be and how sometimes when you see the weight climb you just want to give up!! I know because I've done it MANY times, so good for you, keep up the good work....oh yeah by the way did I tell you I LOVE my body bugg? I'm running in place, playing with my daughter, cleaning my house-whatever it takes to reach my daily goals and i'm finally starting to see the weight come off! It's working! These past 4 days i've lost a pound a day! (I know I need to stay off that scale, but it's sooooo addicting! :faint:

Charlotte: That's a wonderful scale that your doctor has. I would like to know if I've lost fat or muscle. I bought a Tanika scale that is suppose to do something similar. I need to start charting what it says. I'm still trying to get over the fact that it says I'm 40% fat! I've lost 75 pounds, I wonder what % I was before. Maybe it's better that I don't know. Anyway, I weighed today and I was up 1.5 pounds and down a % in fat. So you think that's a good thing?
Also, had an interesting experience with the BB today. The last few days I've been using a weighted vest when I do my 3 mile walk. The first day I used it I burned an extra 300 calories with it on. Today, it didn't show very much difference, may 75 calories. Do you think that my body has already adjusted to it (it was much easier) and I need to add more weight or walk a little faster? I know I am obsessing (like Renee says she does), but I can't help myself. This is addicting. It's a game and it really brings out my competitive nature. Even if I'm only competiting against myself! May the BB adventures continue!

you can get it to work without bootcamp or parallel? I have a power pc mac (the first generation version) but never use my pc side. I'm very interested in the BB but am a mac person all the way

I have heard of weighted shoes. They are expensive though.
