| 3-month diet and exercise? | |
Hi, everyone - who here has done the 3-month medically supervised diet, exercise, and psych program to get approved by their insurance (as opposed to the usual six months)? Have you been successful? If so, what did you do? If not, what reasons did they give?
Thanks, all!

I wish my insurance require only 3 months. I have a full year of supervised diet and exercise. Already did the psych thing and cardio, and ekg, dietician, and so on, and so on, and yet I still have 10 months to go!

I also had a 12 month program, and I didn't lost the REQUIRED amount of weight, so I was DENIED.
So yes, they can and will deny you.

I was denied one month, and the next month I drank SlimFast Carb Control, and ate salads and a handful of nuts every day and lost the required 5% and was approved. My problem was that I had a medical issue and gained a lot of weight in the year I was doing the monthly visits. So I not only had the original 5% excess weight to lose, but all that I had gained as well.
