Questions on Removal

Hello. This weekend I'll have had my band a year, it is coming next week - FINALLY. Can anyone tell me the recovery time for this procedure? I'm also having my gall bladder out at the same time.

Why would you want to remove the band? Statistics show that those who have it removed, gain back a lot of the weight they fought so hard to lose. I am planning on reaching goal, or wherever my body says it's happy and then slowly get unfills to see what i can eat without gaining. I plan on maintaining a healthy weight for the rest of my life!

LOL - that's funny. I appreciate your input there. My band was placed incorrectly, it is actually on the lower portion of my esophagus, thus making me not have a pouch. It took a second surgeon to get this straightened out. I've definitely lost weight, as I spent 9 months throwing up daily. Thanks again...you made me laugh.

I took a week off from work after my removal and that was mainly because I had a large amount of abdominal swelling ( I looked about 7 months pregnant!) I had a small amount of pain from the removal, but; the best part was that my reflux was gone 72 hours after removal!!!
