LUCARTWLUCY, I read back on your post and you said you had the band with Dr. Huacuz then you said you had the D...Switch by Dr. Huacuz. Is there a reason you had both done. Or is this just advertising.

The Sleeve Gastrectomy, reduce the stomach volumen.The stomach is restricted by dividing it vertically and removing more than 8o% of it. This part of the procedure is not reversible. I stop loosing weight with my Lap Band after a year and fourt months, plus I suffer from erosion on my Band my Doctor remove the Band , also I think my over weight was too much that Lap Band was not the best solution on my case, so I when for Sleeve Gastrectomy after Dr. Huacuz explain to me the procedure, and it worked for me since then.
Congrats to you happy@83. How long did you have the band before converting to the sleeve. I am not banded yet and I am just weighing all of my options before. I am REALLY leaning towards the band. So many have success with it and their are some that don't. I am trying to talk to both groups to get all of the pro's and con's of it. I am 106 lbs over weight and I am hoping that the band will help. Thanks!!!
<p>Glad to hear that you got a Lap Band, Im sure you will loss all the overweight that you have, remember to learn how not to regaing weight and in case that you may suffer from erotion or slippage and you lost your band, you most considerated the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy, because they will eliminated the gastric fundus that produce the greline hormone that condition the hunger.
