Dilated/stretched pouch

I hear about these things but don't really understand what they are or how it determined if you do have this problem?
Are there any symptoms? Is caught under a fluoro?

As far as I know, it takes an upper GI study with contrast barium to make the Dx. Some have symptoms, but I have read some did not.

Personally I had some worrisome symptoms but clinical findings were all 'normal'....yearly GI follow-up is a good idea. And if you have real concerns about your own situation, discussion with your surgeon is important.

You can definately see the stretched pouch on the barium tests. I have many symptoms of this but the bariatric surgeon said i was ok on the basis of the upper GI, i guess my symptoms didn't mean anything to him. I went to the gasteroenterologist and he did an endoscopy. He saw food, liquids in the stomach that were trapped as a result of the stretch. Hope this proves something to the surgeon
