| anyone had this problem?
I went for my first fill (I was banded may 15, 2007) the Dr couldn't do the fill because He thought the port was tilted-2 days later He tried using fluoroscopy and determined that the port had turned completely over! Now I need a second surgery to turn it back around. He said in all his years He has never seen this happen before. Just curious if there is anyone else out there with the same complication.
So far I've lost 21 pounds and other than this couldn't be happier.

Welcome to LBT, I'm sorry you've already experienced one of the possible complications of this band. That's really too bad. You are not alone, though. Take a while, look around here, the search function is great for finding information. I clicked on it, then Advanced Ssearch, then looked in Thread Titles Only for flipped and here's just a few of the results. I do hope this helps you, it must be a frustrating and somewhat scary time right now. Take care and keep us updated, will ya? http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/flipped-port-32250/ http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/my-po...already-34151/ http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/port-...estions-28310/ http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/flipped-port-26480/ http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/pleas...ed-port-25406/ http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f13/my-port-flipped-20560/

Sorry this happened to you. It has happened to one of my pts a year ago. The sutures that hold the port to the mucle prob broke. your surgeon will be able to fix it as a minor procedure in the operating room.

Thanks for the info FaithMD. Went for my first fill today and my doctor believes the port flipped. Of course I panicked, but after seeing your post with the links, I feel much better. The info you provided was extremely helpful and I will know more on Thursday.
