How does it feel when fill is right?

I had a fill and when I drank some water it sat in my chest for a moment and then trickled down - the surgeon said that this was too much and he removed some of the fill and now I feel under-filled with little restriction. My friend lost all of her weight by being very filled and had the feelings of a trickle that I described. Are you feeling filled at the correct level - if so how much can you eat and drink and how does it feel? I can still eat a whole burger if I eat it slowly - that can't be right, can it? Your oppinions/experiences appreciated. TIDGE

Unfortunately, there is not one right answer for your question. I believe I have proper restriction now. I have no problems getting liquids down so no, I don't feel a trickle. You're supposed to be able to get hard protein (beef, chicken, fish, pork, etc) down by cutting it into small pieces and chewing it thoroughly.

If you can eat a hamburger, that's fine. But, how long does it take? Do you have to take baby bites? Are you full afterwards? If you can take big bites and not chew much and get it down with no pain, you likely need a little more fill.

fills

When did this occur? You don't want to be overfilled. That can cause problems. Also, some peoples fills kick in a few weeks later. I am much tighter right now than I was a couple of months ago. I am also tighter at 1.5 than I was at 1.7 because I react to heat. Give it time. Take it slow. We didn't put the weight on overnight and should not expect to lose it overnight.

Good luck. Celeste

I always say it is better to go slow and be cautious, than try to rush things and run into problems later that could cause you to lost your band altogether.
The band is a tool, and it would be a mistake to totally rely on just that. Try to combine the band with some "head band" adjustment, and go with that for a while to see how the fill plays out in time. If, after a while, you believe you need an adjustment, then go get it. A little at a time give YOU a chance to change your behavior and thinking as you go, and make using the tool a happier experience!
Good luck!
Cindy
