I think that is pretty subjective. It all depends on the individual...one person may find Dr. Mumford's clinic more personable whereas another person may find quite the opposite and think TLBC is much more personal. By the way...anyone can also meet with Dr Yau at TLBC....all you have to do is ask!

Miranda...I think you are merely experiencing the normal "last minute worries" etc..completely normal; most everyone went through this stage. So, rest assured you are going through the normal progression of emotions. You will be in great hands at TLBC...you obviously did your research and made the decision based on your own set of personal criteria...so have some faith in your decision making abilities!

I agree Miranda, I met with Dr. Yau personally. He was great. Everyone is different so every one reacts to the different personalities in a different way. Feel confident in your decision. They are both really good surgeons.

Thanks Yoda and Susan!

I actually just spoke to Jill today. She asked how I was feeling and it was nice. I guess she wanted to know how well the cottage cheese and yogurt was going down. I have to say so far not to bad!
Now the protein mix.....not so much. I think I will stay clear.

Ohh for sure I am having worries. I also did so my homework when it came to reseaching this whole process....actually coming to this site and reading peoples experiences was part of it.
Where my mind is right now......"well Miranda your doing so well with the cottage cheese and yogurt....you obviously have SOME self control...why do you need major surgey??"
Then the reality Miranda kicks in and says "Well you have tried 10 million other ways and was not successful at any"

lol, I guess those conversations will occur until June 7/07 (my big day)

Yoda I understand what you're saying but for $16,000 you shouldn't have to ask to speak to the surgeon, it should be part of the consultation. Just constructive criticism nothing against the integrity/quality of service at the clinic - after all I booked my surgery there! Today Jill called me to finalize the details of my surgery and she was sooo nice and understanding I already love her!
