Reflux

I had my second fil last week and I am eating fine again. My problem is at night I wake up with revolting bile in my mouth and as soon as I lay down i start to gurgle. i have read that this has happened to people that are too tight but I dont have a problem eating a good amount its just the awful reflux. Does anyone have any advice? Is it Normal? Anything i can take?

Any antacid should help, but you should talk to your surgeon, if your restriction isn't too tight, sometimes a tad more fill helps to stop the reflux.

I'd check with your doctor fairly quickly on that one. I don't want to alarm you but I've heard that reflux at night when lying down, coupled with no restriction in the day, can be a symptom of a slight slip. If they catch it early, it can be fixed by a simple unfill for a few weeks and then bring the fill level back up, but if it is let go until you have trouble swallowing in the daytime, it can get more serious.

I may be way off base, so please don't stress over it, but I think it is worth ringing your doctor and asking him/her about it. More than likely it is just the fill kicking in, but better safe than sorry, eh?
