Just wanted to see what surgens are recomended in NSW Australia and how much they cost and whether health insurance paid or you paid outright.

I am in top cover NIB and they paid the hospital for me. I paid the surgeon $3000 and the anaesthetist $500 and NIB covered the rest of their fees.

I paid the dietician, then got a rebate (about 1/3 of the charge) from NIB.

My doctor is highly recommended locally (Central Coast).

There's a yahoo group called ozband. They have members from all over Aus and someone in that will be able to help I think.
