Hi all,
I went out and bought my daughter a nintendo WII. I got the WII fit. Well you get weighed on it and it gives you your bmi. Then you select between two personal trainers (male or female). It gets you to do yoga, balance test, aerobic and muscle. As you go through it each day it opens new excercises to do. The great thing about it is you don't realise that you are excercising. If you gain weight it wants to know why for instance I gained 200g and it gave me a selection of reasons. I put in that I had eaten dinner late then it gave me a lecture about the reasons why you should not eat dinner late- metabilism etc. It is as bad as the wife. At least it puts the words up on the screen rather than hear them nag. If you know anyone that has one you should try it as I said before you do not realise that you have had a work out and you look forward to working out the next day.
John

Thanks for posting this. My son has a Wii and I've been really curious about Wii Fit. Price isn't too bad either at $90. Just wondering if there's a weight limit on it. That was worrying me. And then wondering if it's better to get the Wii Fit or a used treadmill for that price. Both hubby and I need something not that the heat is really turning on here.

Hi all,
The personal trainer in a box (Nintendo WII). As I said before it is so much fun it puts them in a game form such as heading the ball, yoga moves, tilt game, aerobics-hula hoops, jogging, step up game. They are just a few I have not opened all of them yet in each section. The sections are as follows- aerobic, yoga, balance and muscle. Then it also weighs you and records how much you have done 30 mins etc. It also tells you to take time out and rest. The whole family are doing it now even my eldest daughter who comes home from work and complains if anyone is on it as she wants to do her workout. The cheapest place in Australia at the moment is K-Mart but remember all the other stores price match. I got mine out of Myers.
Thanks for the info. I've been looking at those but wondered if they would give you much of a workout, but then again it's got to be more of a workout than sitting on the couch which is all I do at the moment!
I just did a search on ebay and found that you can also get a dance mat for the Wii, which would be good exercise!
