Red face 2 days post op

HI everyone I am now banded and two days gone.

At the moment I am just relaxing and trying to get used to moving a little slower than usaul.

The day I left the hospital they did not give me any pain relief tablets, however they told me to just take Panadol or pandeine. Just as I walked out I ahd to go back in to ask for some tablets as I thought I would not make it he in a ggod state of mind.

After taking the tablets on an empty somach I new they would not stay down, as I do not cope with no food and tablets.
My food did not stay down after breakfast as I think the anthestic made me a little sick. So trying to be sick and not hurt even more than I already was, was a little hard going.

On the way home, I had to do a quick stop on the side of the road and bring up the tablets that I knew would not stay down. I am finding the best pain relief at the moment is the panadine dissovables. I have to take these every four hours.

I had a better night sleep last night, managed to sleep on my side with a pillow restng underneath.

I am hearig alot of wind moving around and sounds like I am really hungry when I am not.

The foods I am taking at the moment is porridge for breakfast or puree fruit, Lunch is soups and snacks are youghurt and dinner so far again soups.

Other wise all is going well for me at the moment.

Congrats Mojo!

I'm 5 days post and it get's better.

just rest up, take your meds when you need them.

as horrible as it is, try taking the panadine in 2-3 mouthfuls so as not to initiaite nausea.

and as for the wind, I found HOT tea and walking the best.

If the pillow is too much for you to lay on your side, you can progress to s filed hotwater bottle (just use tap water) but I found it is just big enough to rest a belly on

How do you go with the porridge? do you make it really runny/thin?

where are you located?

if you need anything I'll be off for the rest of the week, if you need anything don't hesitate to msg me.

I left hospital with half a drug store, 2 different anti-nausea drugs as he stressed how important it was not to vomit, a tablet to take every morning for indigestion, a very strong pain killer (only needed 1) and 2 boxes of dissolvable panadol rapid.

Thanks Kitty for the info
The porridge I have is very running.
My doctor basically told me to go on blended food until I see him next.

I am finding the porridge good for me in the morning, sometimes I change it with yoghurt.

However when I do have some soup or liquid foods in an hour or so I am blowing up like a blow fish.

When will this settle down??

Sometimes the breathng is still a little slow and very tight in my stomach also.

I a located in Perth Wa
