New Update!!!!

Well I went back to my pulmonary Doctor and the news is good. My lungs are doing well. I have 2 more weeks of meds and then it is time to break away from them she says. We have to see if my body is going to try and fight this without them.
My CT scan looked much better she said and couple more weeks of the med should clear it up. I don't go back for 2 months. So some very good news.
She did put me on Prozac for Depression. It has been a very long 4 months of being sick, and then the whole scare of Cancer. I was crying all the time and didn't really know why. I have had depression before and took Prozac it did seem to help.
Anyone else take Prozac and what dosage do you take? She put me on 40 mg and they are capsules. I don't know if I should try to swallow the capsules or not. My restriction is strange sometimes I have none and then other times it seems to tighten up on me.
I just wanted to let everyone know how things were going. You were all so supportive and I really appreciated it.
Also it is now been 34 days smoke free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:clap2:
Thanks again everyone,
Kathy

Wow Kathy... Your post is full of good news!

Congratulations on the smoking! It has been 13 years for me and it was a killer!

Kathy, MsJoy and I both took Wellbutrin when we were quitting smoking. I don't recall any effects from it and maybe that is what it was designed to do. We've been smoke free for 3.5 years. After quitting and taking the Wellbutrin for about 1.5 months, we simply quit taking it. No problems.

Kathy That is great news! I am so glad that things are going good for you. I hope that the Prozac will help you. Congratulations with being smoke free! I pray that it will be nothing but smooth sailing from here on out! I was on Prozac for about 6 months at 20mg a dose. It worked very well for me. I took it because I was diagnosed with Lupus and scleroderma and was too depressed from just being sick. I am so glad that you are in good spirits! That is half the battle right there. HUgs!!!

That is indeed wonderful news, Kathy!! Just think about your poor, healing lungs and what they've been through every time you think about wanting a cigarette. I'd think that would be pretty powerful motivation to stay away from the death sticks.
