Anyone know any holistic cancer treatments??

I have a friend who's mom has been diagnosed (again) with cancer. She has been fighting it for the past 10ish years. She has been in remission for several years on and off and now has spots on her skin that are cancerous and spots on her liver. She has decided after 7 years of being on chemo on and off that she is done with it. She would rather have a great year and not be sick all the time that 3 more years of misery from the chemo. Does anyone know of any herbs or natural methods that might help make her more comfortable? I know there is a holistic doc around here somewhere on LBT.... hopefully she see's this!

Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me!

Peace.

I'm sorry to hear about your Mom's friend. Do a search on the Gerson clinic. I personally know several people who have been in long term remission after following their protocol.

Skin Cancer is usually treatable. Liver Cancer is usually not, but it's not one of the horrifically painful types of Cancer, either. It often creates an uncomfortable condition called asides, which is a large collection of fluid in the abdomen - like 40 pounds of fluid. This can be drained off, but it comes back pretty quickly.

You can't live without a liver, so when it gets really sick from the Cancer, the body's systems begin to shut down, one after the other. At the end the patient goes into a coma.

I would contact Hospice. They are dedicated to end-of-life comfort, rather than treatment. You don't have to be at death's door to participate in Hospice.

Be there for your friend. Be a strong arm to lean on, and a soft shoulder to cry on. She will need you more now than she ever has.

marijuana they say makes cancer patients very comfortable. Melissa Etheridge swore by it. I know she's now in remission. I wish my mom had done that but she was VERY against illegal drugs.
I know the cancer center of america in Chicago is very into holistic treatment.

I have heard that, too. But I don't think getting arrested would be a good thing for someone dealing with Cancer. Come to think of it....I don't think getting arrested would be a good thing for ANYONE. I'm all for avoiding the jailhouse, myself.

Here in CO medical marijuana is legal. My hubby has a friend who's wife has cancer and he has a card he carries in his wallet that says he can legally possess up to 3 ounces of pot. There are definite benefits to marijuana!

Hi, I am a holistic doc. I will be gasld to help but I need lots of info...plesse arite to me directly to peaceseeker5555@yahoo.com. I will do what i can from a distance...I can always refer you todefferent practitioners in your area. To start with lots of purified, preferably reverse osmosis water. Supplement lots of Vitamin C at least 4,ooo mg per day dicided into four parts. First thing in the mornign warm water with lemon or lime. Evrything organic and natural...more expensive but worth it. Surrounding herself with beautiful, gentle healing music and deep breathing several times a day, and if there is a Reiki practitioner inyour toe=wn then see her twice a week. Write to me asndd let me know more. Where does she live? Best Wishes.... Blessings...
Angela

Angela.... Thank you SO MUCH for responding! I don't know all the details of her condition but I am going to pass along your post to my friend. I hope that's okay if she emails you. I actually just set her up with my mom's massage therapist who also does Reiki and a bunch of other stuff. I had Reiki when I had my tonsils out and it was AMAZING!

Years ago I was a certified Kelley program provider.....the protocol was complex and expensive, and many people simply would not follow directions even with one-on-one consults weekly.

There was a host of clinics that even today hover at the Tiajuana border area. A couple of my old classmates, at last contact, were on the staff.

Google should give additional resources.

Because of the complexities and severity of those conditions as well as the drain on my own personal health reserves, I abandoned that aspect of my own practice. Sometimes naturopaths have spectacular results.

Joyce Day, MD has a web site about her own procedure. Life Extention has a large web site with links. Chip Engleman at <www.vitaconnect.com> is another resource to consider also.

Good luck.

Dr. Thomas E. Levy, MD, JD, wrote Curing the Incurable: Vitamin C, Infectious Diseases, and Toxins and is a board certified cardiologist. For cancer patients, he advises 6,000 to 9,000 mg of Vitamin C a day. Also, there is a prescribed drug call marinol that is a derived from marijuana that helps many patients.
