Yakima Washington

Hi! I am new to this. I got approved a couple weeks ago for my band. Tomorrow (I guess today since it's 1am!).. I go for my Post-Op. I was just wondering if there's anyone else here in the Yakima area? My surgery date is scheduled for August 19th @ 8 am!!

P.s.
I see everyone has those little trackers, how do I get one?

Congratulations on your surgery! I hope it all goes well for you! I just moved to Ellensburg from Spokane....so I'm kinda close to you. I need to find a doctor somewhere around here so I can get a fill. If you know any good ones, please let me know!

Hi! Where I'm going is the Tri-Cities. Dr. Fox, he's a great doctor. And the office girls are great! If you want to carpool on fills, let me know? Like I said, I go for my surgery on the 19th!!

Really? I've never heard about the fills with Memorial. And that's where I had my upper gi and my stress test done at and they never mentioned anything. I'm already pre-approved for the next 6 months of fills. And Tri-Cities isn't too far away. Plus it gives me an excuse to do some shopping!! :)

Well, less than 12 hours I will be in surgery getting my LAP-BAND®! Wish me luck!!

ok you had yours in tri-cities. I went to Everett (nwwls) Im guessing they don't share fill sites? . Had mine done on the 20th starting soft foods on the 25th WOOT. Had little pain. So far from the weighin (386lbs) I lost 25 lbs(in 12 frigin days) (P.S. that sucks) for the surgery and as of tonight I weighed (354) cant wait for some soft foods. How are you feeling

Wow, you get to start soft food already? I'm still on a liquid diet for the next 3 weeks. I'm actually still having a little pain where the port is. But so far since I weighted myself back on the 11th, I've lost like 19lbs. Easier for you men apparently! :o) I go back to the Tri-Cities again today to get my week check. So we'll see how it goes. I really need some support getting through these liquid diets!! UGH!! :o(

Well, my liquid diet hasn't consisted of much. Usually my protein shakes, water, sf jello and sometimes broth. My stomach is always growling and I still have 3 more weeks of liquid diet to go. I had my 1 week post-op yesterday, they say all is looking good. I've lost an overall of 18 so far. 9 of which has been in the last week. So I told them I'm working to lost at least 3 times that by time I go in for my fill on the 30th of Sept. So 27lbs to lose in 34 days, shouldn't be too hard. Since it's nothing but liquid in me. I just keep telling myself, it's worth it! I'm at 240 now. My goal weight is 140. So we will see. Told the Doc I still want to have some curves left though! LoL

Thanks for the encouragement, means a lot. I have my family, but it's not the same as someone that has an idea of what I'm going through. Thank you again!
