I am quite impressed with Dr. Cavazos. Aside from the fact that the nurses all like him (that's a good indicator!) he just seems to have his act together. I saw him for the seminar, once in his office, once before my 1st surgery (that couldn't be finished because of my liver) and will meet with him again this Thurs before my surgery on Friday. I think it's fairly standard; they don't need to see you a lot. He had me do thorough preop tests etc but still expedited my surgery and is gracious enough to perform this repeat surgery to accommodate MY schedule. I think he's the bee's knees!

Thanks a bunch! | Hey g00dbyefat, I was banded 8/19/08 by Dr. Carcamo. How are you doing?

I'm from San Antonio, Potranco & 1604. Banded on 9/4/08. I'm hungry and confused. Walking every day 30 min. going by the book on my diet, but there are days that I regret doing this, I miss eating food and having a glass of wine. I don't want to cook for my family, so I won't want the food. I feel like my family doesn't understand when they go about their day like nothing and I sit and cry feeling sorry for my self. And then there are days I am totally normal and have a great attitude. I want to feel normal.

Hello,
I live is SA right off Marbach and Hunt Lane. I saw Dr. Carcomo on my bday last Thursday and he said we are really for banding. I am so excited. My band date is this Thursday on the 25th. I was first told I would spend the night at Nix. Now they say I will go home the same day. I am happy with mt weight loss on these meal replacement drinks, but cant wait for the day when its real food again. My future plans are to eat healthy aways, exercise, and lose all this weight. I have a lot of living to do and I want to enjoy the rest of my life. I have struggled all my life with weight. I have spent tons of money on every weight loss gimack there is with temperary results. I dont care how long it takes and how much I have to suffer if the end result is a lot of weight loss. It can't be as bad as the suffering I have been through all my life being overweight. I have read some of the horror storys on these forums, but the success storys far out weigh the horror. These success storys are my inspiration. I would love to keep in touch with other banders. Please feel free to offer any and all opinions and advice. I am always open for anything.
Thanks for listening

Choosie:
What time are you getting banded? I was scheduled @ 1:30. I was suppose to go home the same day, but due to issues with nausea, I had to stay over night. Good Luck and keep us posted!

Dear Socialdot,
If you are directing your ? to me....well I am doing wonderful. I am so very proud of myself to learning better eating habits and exercise routine. The weight has taken more time to leave...however I will take slow and learn the right things over taking fast results and gaining/dieting again.
sure hope you are doing fine. Share you story, we all would enjoy hearing/reading.
