moving to Sioux Falls

Hi everyone, my hubby and I are moving to Sioux Falls in September from Hawaii and we would like to know of any LAP-BAND^® doctors in the area. Any help anyone??? Mahalo for the help.

Dr. Orbrien at Sandford is my doctor as well :)

However I would have your current doctor maybe help you with a referral? Might make the process easier?

Thanks Annie, and Chewy. My doc doesn't have a recommendation for us. But I have a job interview at Sanford, so maybe I can check him out while I am there. That would be the perfect thing for me. I am looking forward to moving to Sioux Falls. I have never lived anywhere but in Hawaii, so it will be a big change for me. Mahalo again

I heard that there is another doctor at Avera McKennon, and they have a support group there. anyone else go there?

Yes his name at Avera McKennan is Dr. Thamert or Dr. Strand.

I am a patient of Dr. O'Brien however I go to the McKennan support group the second Thursday of every month at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center.

I see Dr. Thaemert at Avera McKennon - he is awesome and so is his nurse, Mel. Never have had a problem getting in to see him if I need to. I highly recommend him!!

Thanks for the reply, my hubby and I have an appt. to see Dr. Thaemert in December, we are planning on going to the support group in December. Second Thursday right?? and where is that again, i don't know the area well.
