Hi Jack!
Congratulations on the date set!!! Please don't worry too much. My husband just had carpal tunnel surgery this last thursday. He had never had any type of surgery and just totally stressed the few days before. Now he is looking back and was amazed at how easy it all was. Its the healing that is the bigger pain in the rear but even then that seems to go pretty quick for us banded folks. My broken ankle I had 5 years ago was MUCH worse to heal from after they had to put screws and pins in it. Best of luck to you! Teresa

State: Oregon | now what?
OK, I been good on the pre-op diet....and I'm ready (kinda) for 12/21 ('Jaws" in the background) and wondering with my dear wife what to do about 'christmas dinner'.....
I've been mostly eating the protein ( :dead ) breakfast drink, NO PASTA, rice, BREAD etc) for over 2 months....
I'm taking insulin shots INSTEAD of 2x day, now maybe once every other day, and only about 1/3 or less at that!! Plus my metformin was 850mg tid now I break them in half.....
....as my blood glucose average is DOWN 26 points.....
got my recent blood work.....best it's been in a long time....
( I DO take Ambrolose daily).....
but that X:SD{(&#+%*)ig cpap is STILL on....we gotta give this the heave ho......
ah, progress....and I ain't even banded....yet..... ;)

That's great Jack. Just imagine how quickly all this will take care of itself once you've been banded. :) I'm so happy for you!

Good for you, Jack! Just get everything fixed while you're at it. I did that, too!

City: Bainbridge State: Georgia | Looking into this Procedure
Hi, I have attended the Lap Band Seminar last week, was very informative, however, the video on what was to be done was graphic. I am to gather info for the doctor and then have a letter from my doctor on past history and weight loss attempts. Then we see if insurance will consider coverage.
If you have been through this and I'm sure most have, any thoughts would be helpful. I have many questions, but this forum is very helpful

I love the snoopy image!!! That is too darn cute! Danno ask any questions you need too and research, research, research. Good luck on the insurance part, Teresa
