on my way

:clap2: I have a surgery date and it is Feb 13th. I started my pre op diet on my birthday Jan 30th .3 protein shakes a day 1 for breakfast 3 once meat 1/2 cup veg 2cups of leafy greens protien for lunch, shake for snack, dinner can be the same or a frozen meal, protien shake. Meals should be 31/2 hours apart and you must drink 64 oz of water and that can be sugar free drinks. I have been hungry and strickly sticking to this diet. I can't wait to feb 13 although I must admitt I AM NERVOUS.

Hello! Congrats to all on your successes! :)
I am scheduled for Lap Band surgery on 4/5/07 in Raleigh by Dr. Moran.
What is the "pre-op" diet? I don't know about that - yet. All my testing is done. I have a results/pre-op appt scheduled for 3/28/07. Doc said it would be helpful if I could lose a little weight before the surgery, start walking, etc. Anything I should know?
Thanks!

The pre-op diet is just what she wrote out in her post. Most doctors require you to be on one a couple of weeks or lose a certain amt of wt before banding.....it helps remove some fat from the liver and makes the surgery easier ....gives the patient a headstart, too Not all pre-op diets are the same....depends on your doctor.
