Went to Seminar

Went to Portsmouth and attended the seminar on 6/15. Hubby came with me - very supportive! I brought the application home and competed it and sent last week. Received criteria in the mail from my insurance company - looks like I meet the criteria... Waiting for my PCP and Endocrinologist to write letters of medical necessity. Can't wait to get this "show on the road"! Really would like to have lap-banding in the fall. We'll see. Working on losing the first 10 lbs. prior to surgery. (Required by Bariatric program to lose 10% of the number of pounds needed to lose, prior to surgery. This is to show your commitment...) Prayers welcome.... Rachel

Hi...I was at last night's meeting, too.

It seems like a great group of both physicians/medical care workers, but the people in the group. I feel comfortable that I've made the right decision.

I've completed the application and want to get the process started, too.

Hi guys!!! I had my surgery last Dec. at Portsmouth with Dr. Gens. I love this program. Good luck to you on your journey. Lots of twists and turns in the road, but for me this has been great.
