I was wondering if anybody has/had medicaid in Michigan for the Lap Band. What kind of problems (games) and headaches they put you through? I actually have what they call a spend down account which is like a co-pay every month that I use the insurance, but ANY info I can get on the medicaid will help.
Oh and I already know that I have to have a 12 month supervised diet :faint:

Did they say they would pay for it??? Because when I called Hurley for a friend they said only straight paid for it.

my dr.'s office takes my insurance and yes it is being paid for in full and I even have a date! you need to call your insurance and find out there requirements.

I have BCBS my best friend has the Medicaid and she too would like to get a lap band.

I have my 1st appointment next week to talk with the surgueon about having lap band. When do you get your done????

Yes I had a plate and screws put in my ankle after I broke it. I am sorry I miss read your post.

all the people I have talked to said it is an easy recovery, like a support group I was at last night she was up and back to work in a week she had it done over a long weekend, and for me I bounce back right after surgery and this is my 14th surgery and I am only 30 so I am not worried so much. after my knee surgery I was up walking on that that day at home and it was a surgery they had to repair ligaments and tendons and I had 3 muniscis tears, not sure how to spell all that sorry

Well I am hoping to have in done in December when I am off from college but I am a single mom so I can't be down too long.
