So this is pretty cool....

I had my first fill on the 12th. She gave me 4cc's in a 10cc VG band, but I couldn't hold down water, so she backed out .5cc's, to 3.5cc, and I'm good.

This morning, I woke up and very slowly had a Myoplex supplement shake, and a banana. Went to the gym, came home pretty hungry around 11, and warmed up a Lean Cuisine salmon and risotto. 250 Calories.

Now mind you, prior to the fill and prior to the band, I could almost snort one of those things through a nostril. They were lik a half an appetizer to me. I'd inhale them, and immediately eat something else. They were like a snack.

So I start in on my salmon, and find that I'm eating it too fast because I started to get a little stuck, nothing major, so I took a break. A little less than 3/4 the way through the tray, I stopped, full.

This, to me, is incredible.

Welcome to the world of restriction. It's fantastic isn't it? I literally struggle to eat 1000 calories a day now whereas before the surgery I'd struggle to keep it below 2000!!lol!! I'm losing at least 3lbs a week at the moment and I haven't even started exercising yet.

Best of luck to you!

LOL!!! OMG, I really did LOL in real time after reading this. I relate all too well.

Yes, it is amazing the quantity of food pre and post banding.

Do you know Wendell? He usually posts on that crappy board but he comes over here every now and again. He once posted his recipe for spaghetti sauce.

Something like a #10 can of tomato sauce, etc. and 2lbs dry pasta. Mix in bowl, eat everything.

After band, same recipe, mix in bowl, eat 4 bites, enough spaghetti and sauce for next month.

The way he writes it is hysterical.

Darn it John! I knew that was you in the MD's office waiting area on the 12th. When I was coming out from my fill and making my follow up appt I glanced over and saw you in the waiting area. I actually hemmed and hawed for a minute about going over and re-introducing myself but guessed that I may have been wrong or else you may not have remembered meeting the girl from Dot at Joe's Bar and Grill that time...

Funny. Now I regret not saying hello.

I am glad you are liking your fill. I am definitely feeling restriction too.
I am especially glad you are no longer snorting Salmon up your nose. hahahahaha

Kay!

Aww, Hell Kay, you should have said Hi!

I've been looking for you at Planet Fitness too, but haven't seen you. We're probably on different schedules. How are you doing with everything? I actually feel a little looser as I write this. The first 3 days after my first fill were nice and tight, but now I'm slowly starting to be more hungry. Still nowhere near my intake before, but I'm stuck as far as weight loss goes.

I do regret not saying hi John.

Ah well...

I am doing well with this fill. I did not get much with my first fill. I lost only about 3 pounds between my 2month post op and my 4 month post op. I was surprised at how happy the MD and June were anyway. I left that appt with a fill and feeling much better about myself. June really reinforced how proud I should be since I am making better choices and exercising a lot. My body is definitely changing even when the scale does not reflect it!

Since the fill last Thursday I am already down about 4 pounds. It has made a world of difference and jumpstarted my loss again. THANK GOD! I am transitioning to solids today so we will see how it goes. Before my fill I was amazed that I could eat a cup of soup and a whole salad at the Outback. And feel like I could keep eating...

The kids are on vacation this week so I have not been at the gym. I am trying to work out at home with minimal success. I am usually there between 8:30 and 10am. I don't like it there in the evening. Crowded and some strange characters!

I am glad you are doing well. Don't hesitate to say hello if you do see me at the gym.
