Tentatively Scheduled for Jan 22nd!

Have a tentative date of 1/22 for my Lap-Band® Surgery with Dr. Malley in Overland Park, excited and nervous all at the same time.

Can't wait to start the journey but also concerned about the changes that will be required.

Hi Lisa, I am also having my surgery with the Malley surgical group but by Dr. Hitchcock.

I am scheduled for January 19 so I can keep in touch and let you know how it goes!

When you said you have a "tentitive" date what did you mean?

How much weight do you want to lose? What shakes are you going to use?

Hey Bloom,

I am getting banded the 19th by Dr. Hitchcock, he has just joined Malley Surgical.

I have a few questions if you don't mind.
What shakes, soup ect did you use in your pre-op diet?
How long did you have to be off work?
How did you know the fill was to tight?
Do fills hurt?
How are you now hunger wise?
Do you have a problem eating or are you on mostly mush?
Do you take vitamins?
Do you belong to any support group?

Dear Soontobeme, I had Dr. Hitchcock, great doctor and very conscientious. I had my surgery November 24th. Do be sure to follow the pre-op diet they give you, I ended up dropping 13 lbs during that portion. I've lost 21 so far, wish it were more but the holidays were challenging. I don't feel hungry most of the time. I am taking vitamins to be sure I'm getting what I need. I have not had a fill yet so we'll see what happens then. He put in a 5cc band.

Hey showmepat, thanks for the reply! I am not looking forward to the 2 week preopt diet but I know it is for a reason. How many times did you see him before the surgery? I only saw him the one time in his office for the consult. Not to hands on are they? I am so looking forward to this journey as I am sure you are! No more yo yo! How did you feel just after surgery and the week after? How much time did you take off? Look forward to going through it together with all us KS banders! Have you been to any meetings yet? Cara/OP
