Lap Band Buddies / Mentors (NEW!) A buddy/mentoring relationship pairs a successful and experienced LBT member with a novice and/or struggling LBT member. The purpose is to support one another as each person works through the physical, emotional, and spiritual components involved in weight loss. The goal is to get to a healthy weight and stay there. This is a win-win relationship as the successful LBT member is able to reaffirm his/her weight loss and the novice or struggling LBT member is supported in building the confidence and motivation necessary to achieve his/her desired goals.

I'm going to be banded (hopefully) on November 6th by Dr Robert Pinnar.

I'm freaking out already. If anyone lives nearby and is getting the band soon, PM me. It would be nice to have someone I can meet in person who knows what I'm going through.

Oct 2009 - approved by Aetna
Nov 6, 2009 - surgery by Dr Robert Pinnar
