Bay Area Self-Pay Costs?

Hello,

I will most likely self-pay and I have called a few offices, looks like $13K from one and $35K from another.
Any recommendations? I'm in Santa Cruz so southbay or Monterey is best for me.

<p>It is 14,000.00 for me with Laprascopic associates of SF. I thing that they have a satelitte office down your way. You might want to check.</p>

Call Dr. Robert McKeen in San Jose. He is excellent! I believe he is under $20k. He is phenomenal.

Dr Mckeen, South Bay Bariatrics. I self paid and it was $15k. I am very happy with the results. Fills are $200 each when needed.

Thanks for the input guys.

I decided to go see Dr. McKeen and am now in month 2 of my 6 months supervised diet. He said that considering my insurance plan and clearly documented weight related problem with BMI 35%+, insurance coverage should be a no-brainer. So hopefully the few months extra waiting will net ~$10K savings. :) I also can see why some of you seem to like him so much, seems like a very nice guy.
