| Will I need a dietary/nutrition evaluation ?
This depends on your insurance carrier’s requirements as well as what your surgeon wants. Most surgeons do require this consult. Some want a weight loss log to be brought to the evaluation. The purpose of the consult is to discuss pre and post-operative diet management. Because there is no ONE way of conducting this consult, it is best to check with the surgeon’s office staff to find out what the requirements are, what the out-of-pocket fees are, and how long the consultation will take.
