I had my consultation on the 21st of may and my op is the 23rd June. I had the deposit with to get my bloods done on the day so that helped.

Dini, I can't belive its nearly here less than a week. so so so excited are you?

I am so excited its crazy! i got a call from them i've to be there at 6.45 on tuesday! what are you talking about your is sat i'm so jealous you'll have to keep us up to date tell all! how you doing?

I bet you are really excited now ahh 2days away! I wish I was going in next week for my op. Ive a long way to go yet. How much of a deposit did u need when you went for your consultation? that sounds like a good idea, i might do that because otherwise id go home and think think think think think about it!! What part a ireland are you in? Im so nervous about going for the consultation!

hi Skinny! Jesus you dont have a lot to loose at all! I'm not suprised there doing the opp though! gone are the days your BMI needed to be 40 or highter or if you had medical troubles your BMI to be 35 !!!

You'll need 600 euro. I'm glad i paid the deposit as i would have backed out. I booked so many consultations and backed out. Even the morning of the one I wen't to i was thinking will i or will i not.

I tought your BMI was low too?

I met my surgeon today. Very nice looks like Robin Williams.

Hi _I am not FROM Ireland either, but I have been there(July 2000) and can't wait to return...and I love "reading" you gals as much I love listening to you talk in person...I am from the Chicago area, my maiden name is McCarthy...I had my band surgery Feb 28, but have only lost 15 lbs so far...just had my 3rd fill today, so hopefully we'll be hitting the "sweet spot" soon!

Skinneybabe, I was already thinking oh wil i go? should i cancel? noooo but I am def going!! I wish you the best of luck tomorrow and hope u have a speedy recovery. I have had keyhole surgery before and wasnt that sore, i was back drivin within 3days. just keep walkin!

I agree what the hell happened to our summer, nothing but rain. At least we'er not missing out on the Skimpy clothes as no one can wear them. Do go to your consultation, it really will be worth it. Imagine this time next year in skimpy jeans and a vest top, thats if its not raining!

So gettin nervous about tomo.

Skinny/lipgloss Hello, I was banded June 7 and had all the thoughts you are having. I started the official process in February 07, however prior to that I thought about it, researched it and on and on. Once I went to the first orientation meeting in February, I was so excited. But as the band date got closer, I had thoughts; what if something happens, how can I give up the foods for ever or eat so little, can I have alcohol, why don't I just go back to weight watchers ( for 100th time), etc. but then I realized I really needed this and I could do it. I have had a couple glasses of wine at a time a week out from surgery, just sipped! Someone asked me yesterday if I was hungry or how could I give all that up? It is easier once you have made the committment!!!

You will do GREAT!!!

Hi Girls,

Well I'm home safe and sound from sunny Italy, back to rainy old Ireland, where is our summer gone???????? And will it be back????

Anyway, I had a fab time in Italy, I ate and drank what I wanted to and the band told me when to stop and I listened... and guess what I lost 2lbs.:clap2::clap2::clap2: HELLO........ losing weight on holidays and enjoying the holiday.:):):) I LOVE THIS BAND.:biggrin1::biggrin1::biggrin1:

Hope your all feeling good this week and don't be nervous about consultations, you'll be nervous enough when you go for the op.;);)
