I have before and current photos in my album. I started this journey weighing 270+ (a few pounds), and am now at 229 (again- having gained and lost the last few months). I seriously believe the gains have been fluid, as I can measure myself any given day and I've lost more. That said.... I started wearing a size 24W, and can now wear anything between a size 16 (no W) and a juniors 18. JUNIORS? I 've never worn juniors sizes. I wore a size 2XL to 3XL shirt, and yesterday I wore, snuggly a size MEDIUM. My waist has gone from a measurement of 48.5 inches, to 39 inches. My hips haven't changed as much, but they've gone from a 53 inch measurement to a 48 3/4. I have posted a photo of me in pants much tighter than I'm comfortable wearing in public, but I got them on, and zipped standing up, without much hassle. They are a womans size 14 capri (orange print). The shirt is a large.
I know a lot of the work has been mine, but I think having the LAP-BAND® is a constant reminder to me, I have to continue working hard. I've only recently gotten some restriction again. Working hard to fine tune it. I can no longer eat plain bread. IF I dunk it in something, like French toast I can still eat it, but I won't be doing that often. I also can not eat oranges. They get stuck EVERY time.
Just wanted to drop a line, let ya know where I am, and how I'm doing.
Teri
