Okay, butterflies.......better get out a can of whup a$$ and use it on me. | Sorry no whup a$$ for you today, Just a little encouragement. I think alot of us are in the same boat. If you just look at the thread so many have moved to other threads or just not posting because of nothing to report. So please don't get down on yourself. We still have a few loyal posters that stand by each other and feel one anothers pain and celebrate one anothers victories. As Orea use to say: This to shall pass. So just hang in there and get moving, even if it's just a little at first. I myself am having a hell of a time finding something I like because exercise hates me and so far I hate it. I just ordered a Wii fit plus(early Christmas from DH) I hope I can get into it. Any ways Stay strong you can and WILL do this. See ya on the skinny side of life!

Kimaly..........what thread did you move to? I am on the Mentor ........can I help?, but I have stopped posting on the other ones..........just wasn't feeling the connection. I am glad y'all have found new buddies. I had loved being a part of your journey. I go tomorrow to the doc. I am gonna have some fill out so I can get protein down. I am gaining too much from sliders. Of course this IBS from the firbromyalgia isn't pleasant. I am thinking about getting the doctor to go in there and do a gastric sleeve and clean out the adhesions. Of course, that will be next year when I am old enough to break into my retirement without penalty.

I didn't move to another thread I am one of the ones with nothing new to report. I was just saying some of the girls have moved on. I love this thread and the ladies on it, as long as there is at least 1 person posting I'll be hanging around. I would like to have the sleeve but for now it's out of the question. I'm just have to get my butt in gear.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving filled with loved ones. Now another subject, Food: I was just sitting here trying to find some new LAP-BAND® recipes and most are the same in one way or another. Chicken and Fish! I'm so so so sick of Chicken and Fish I could spit nails. I just don't want any type of bird or anything that swims in the ocean for a very long time. Does anyone have any new ideas please help, I'm just getting to the point that I go look and don't want to prepare anything so I go without or grab something I shouldn't like reduced fat cheese its I know that craps bad but I guess I try to justify it by reminding myself they're reduced fat and only 100 cals for a serving of 31. Man, It's crazy what we can talk ourselves into when we want something. Anyway any ideas ladies?

I just started eating chicken again the other day. I don't have any suggestions to replace those with, other than turkey. I eat ground turkey, turkey sausage and I mix it it up. Turkey sausage with peppers and onions are great. I use the hot italian turkey sausage, either jenni-o or shady brook farms. Add a little sauerkraut and your good to go. |

Thank you, I'll try the turkey sausage. I tried ground chicken before and hated it. Not the taste but the texture made me ill. Here's hoping it's better.

Well, after over indulging in sliders I am back on track. Heck my DH has lost so much weight from bypass he is going to pass me up by Christmas.
We leave this week for Hawaii to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We lived there when we got married so this is a walk down memory lane. I know I won't overeat because I don't want to have any band problems.
Right now I am still up five lbs. I know I can get it off. I think it is because I haven't been able to walk with the weather and my health issues. I am still determined to get more weight off.

Also, Blaze, thanks for the great tip about turkey sausage. I need to try that! Sounds tasty

Nothing new to report but don't want the thread to die so I thought I would just stop in and say hi! But next week this time I am going to report a loss. I am going to bust butt this week to break this plateau. I'm busy working on my happy dance now. I like to be prepared.

I'm still here trying to get these last 26 lbs off. I'm not really concerned with the holiday eating. We didn't celebrate thanksgiving this year and christmas dinner is still up in the air. I'm having poor self image issues which have actually gone a little further than I thought, but I'll get through it. Hope all is well with you guys/gals. :) |
