Question...are your BMI's close? Also, there can be a lot of calories in full liquids and you might not lose right now. I can't tell you what I lost or didn't lose during my liquid/mushie days because I didnt have a scale. How many calories are you eating? Even then...now is when you worry about HEALING...not weight loss. It will come. Be careful with the exercising...you dont want to overdo it and hurt yourself. Like I said earlier...now is the time for healing.

Elaine if you are doing a lot of weight training you usually put on weight before you loose it, because you are gaining muscle. Also if you are drinking things like juice and broths, juice has high amounts of sugar and broth has high amounts of sodium, both of which can hinder weight loss, sodium causes you to retain water as well, good luck with everything :) And like salsa said, right now just worry about healing your body.

My BMI is around 51 and I'm diabetic so using insulin. The good news is my fasting blood sugar is down to 115. It was around 240 at the beginning of last week

Lexy - many people have suggested soups and protein drinks. I am not a fan of protein drinks, so I did soup. You can blend protein-rich soups with milk or broth and it is still liquid. Full liquid - if you can suck it through a straw it is liquid and full of protein. And tastes right, too.

Good luck.

That is fantastic news. Just that in itself is adding years to your life! The weight will come off, but you are going to find that the NSV's (non scale victories) are sometimes more important than the stupid number on the scale!

Yeah for the most part, I just started with gas pain early this morning, I usually sleep until noonish lol (hey I'm only 20 its my responsiblity to sleep ridiculously late over the summer haha) but the gas was so bad this morning I've been up since about 6:30 am. The only other problems are still the itchyness and soreness, the soreness is really only bad when I try to get up from laying down or sitting on something really soft. Other than that I seem fine, I can't wait to start loosing weight now! Glad to know your doing good!!! Congrats !
