I was banded on May 1st. I have lost 16lbs and am THRILLED with that. I have NEVER lost that kind of weight in less than a month. Most of the 16lbs came off the first 2 weeks after surgery and then I pretty much stopped too. When I went to the doctor he said that it is normal to slow and stop losing for a few days. First, your body has to adjust to your new weight. 2nd, you don't want to have too drastic of a loss... it's not healthy. I was not put on a pre-op diet, so that is why there is not more than a 16lb loss.
I was filled yesterday and I definitely feel the restriction (1.5cc's into a 5.0cc band). I had to do liquids yesterday and mushies for a couple of days. I expect to see the scale move again very soon.
Just because the scale is not moving, it doesn't mean that you aren't losing inches. You should take measurements of yourself. I am already down 2 pants sizes

!!!
Also my doc told me to aim for 50-60g of protein per day. If you go too much over that, it will slow down the weight loss.
Keep your chin up, you WILL succeed!!!
