Hi everyone! My name is Daniela, I am 32 years old and live in Rossville, GA. I have a son who is 11 (will be 12 in August) and a wonderful husband. I'm originally from Frankfurt, Germany and have lived in the US for almost 12 years now.
My surgery will be May 28th. I've struggled with my weight on and off all my life but am now at my all time high (280 lbs and I'm only 5'3"). I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Luckily my husband is very supportive of this surgery. Our insurance doesn't cover it so we took a loan out agains our 401K. Having to pay cash will hopefully motivate me even more!
I'm so glad I found this message board. It is so helpful to read about all the other poeple who have been through the surgery and are willing to share their experiences.
