Thanks Judy...I just saw above how much you have lost in the 5 months...WOW!!!!! You go girl!
I have to admit, I do not hard core exercise enough...what I do is isometric and core work...still working on the Cardio part..
It is slow going because on top of EVERYTHING else, I broke my foot in late July...so I still have to be careful...
I used to LOVE LOVE LOVE jazzercise....I was on the pom line in hs....
Anyway, I see some fun cardio in the future when it will not stress my foot too much..I am going to try water areobics soon too..
So Keep it up! Thanks again, Shelley

Hey all!! Just wanted to pop in and post a quick note. I am a May bandster that hasn't posted in awhile. Seems like I was LAP-BAND® web talk junkie for the first few months. I just went yesterday and got my 4th fill. I think I am gonna be good for awhile. I honestly don't know what size band I have or how much is in it but I kinda gauge how I am doing and make my appointments accordingly. My Doctor is great. I have been with her throughout the surgery and she does my fills also. I have 24 pounds to go before I will be at the goal I set for myself but in all actuality I think I am supposed to weigh less than that. I'm just trying to be realistic. LOL I am just glad to be going to a normal store and getting normal clothes for a change. I never realized that I like to shop. I never wanted to shop before because I didn't want to admit how big I actually was. I have been reading some of you blogs. You guys are doing great. I have a BIG problem getting in the exercise. I work at a job where I am on my feet and walking 8 hours a day. By the time I get off work, I don't want to do anything. I know this is not acceptable and I am gonna try my hardest to do better. I do use an ab lounger and do some floor exercises but I know this isn't enough. It is great to read on here and see most people go through the same things. I know there are times on here I would have probably gone to the DR only to find out I had gas...LOL That would have been embarrassing.. Well I better get ready for work. Keep up the good work and have a great day!!!

Hi Everyone!! Nice to see some of your results. I am losing much slower, but very consistently. I'm happy with that. I am fitting into clothes that I haven't worn for years.
The band is also KEEPING me on track. In the past, there is a much greater chance that I would have quit at this stage of the game. With the band, quitting is not an option. I am also not "stress" eating....stress is still there, but I am not solving it or comforting myself with food.
I do have to step up my exercise and I'm sure that I will see better results......
All the best to all of you!!
Marilyn

Hey everyone! Its been forever since I've been on here, busy busy busy with school and 2 jobs and an ever growing social life, I can't complain though, I'm down 55 pounds and feel more comfortable with myself than I ever have. I still have about 50 more to go before I am at goal, but I'm a little more than halfway there and only about 6 months out, yay!

Hi everyone... it's been quite a while... but life is so busy when school is in and the holidays are now approaching. I am really loving life.... I can't believe the difference losing 62 pounds makes.... I have such a long way to go, but at least it is moving in the right direction. I am down 2 pant sizes and 2 shirt sizes... although I like loose fitting clothing, it's a comfort thing.... so I might be down one more clothing size if I liked them fitting a bit more snug. I can finally cross my legs (that are now getting "skinny" as others tell me)... I have never had comments like that. I see the difference in myself and just hope things keep moving in the right direction. I don't count calories, but know a lot about food and know what things I shouldn't be eating or what things contain more calories. I don't cheat myself of the things I like, for example ice cream, but at least I eat no sugar added. My diabetes has been in remission since surgery so when I eat a few M&M's here and there, or some treat, my blood sugars don't go up... it's really weird. So as long as things keep going this way, I won't ever cheat myself... although I know the closer I get to my goal weight, I will have to watch calories more closely to maintain. I look forward to hearing from other May bansters!

3 fills... I have a 10cc band and I have 8cc's with decent restriction... can still eat most things, but just not very much.

Hey guys! I have been missing for a while too. I am having a rough group of kiddos this year. I am working harder than they are for sure. Very stressful. Well it's going quickly so this too shall pass. I do love my job and most of the time things go very well. I love my band and even though we are now struggling financially, it was worth it to spend the money on it. I have never felt better. I have given myself an exercise goal this month and have seen inches come off and pounds come to a screetching hault. I don't mind though because I can now wear my hubbies jeans as well as a 16 misses. Oh boy that feels great! Well, I wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving! A focus on family instead of food will be a great change!
