That's the only place I had it (not in the shoulder like most). It really helped to have my husband rub my back and then walk, walk, walk. It really did the trick. One week out, I sill have gas, but not painful. Those crazy jungle noises go away after a day or two as well.

Hi guys, tomorrow is the day and I am not scared anymore, but really emotional and excited, making chicken soup as I write and can't imagine how amazing life is going to feel as I get healthier. Thanks for sharing your stories, and struggles and I know I will be on here a lot more as the day goes on and after surgery as well. I will try to check in tomorrow but most likely in a couple of days! Where did the month go? Tomorrow the first day of the rest of my life!

City: Mesa State: AZ | I am in Band Land!!! Hi all!
I am banded! It all went really well....I got home today around 3:30.
I was up and walking like 3 hrs. post surgery. The nurses said I was the star student!
I had terrific care at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea!
How am I feeling? Well, I had about 5 hours today that I was not as good as I had been. I dry heaved once! Then they gave me meds and it all calmed down.....
I am very tired and the RX they sent me home with was percocet!
Boy, that knocks me out!
I feel much better now but definitely have tenderness on left side mostly.
So, back to walking and bed for me!:biggrin2:
Hope you all are feeling great! I am just so excited that the surgery is OVER
Take Care and TTFN - Shelley

My surgery was Tuesday. All went very well. The Dr couldn't believe how much I was walking the halls. When they did the video swallow test it was COOL! The stuff tasted nasty that I had to drink, but I could see my stomach on the monitor and could see the liquid go down. WOW!
My only problem is I ahve a terrible cold from my hubby!
Gotta rest.

Globally yours...I hope you can rest up a bunch too! My husbands sounds like he has a cold too! I told him to sleep on the sofa! I don't want to get sick too!
Stay well!

Yeah, my baby slept on the hide a bed too. Didn't work. POO! Speaking of poo, did anyone have trouble with diarreah afterwards. It's probably because I'm drinking so much, or the anasethetic.

AHHHH I'm finally banded!!!! I spent the night in the hospital and just came home a few hours ago, Lucy12, one of our Lap Band talk friends, was my roomate! She was great, and neither of us were in much pain, there was a lot of morphine hahaha. Now that I'm home I'm pretty sore, I have little gas pain, if any its right around the bottom of my rib cage where are the insicions are anyways. Thanks for all the support guys!!!!

I can't believe it is over!!! I know the real work is yet to come.....
As for poo...haven't had any! I am only on clear liquids until tomarrow I can start mushies etc...
I am not hungry but I get waht they say about head hunger....I feel I should eat something...but I won't....
My daughter made cookies and dinner today and I could totally smell it all...Torture! I had a sf popsicle to take my mind off the food! LOL

don't worry jess, I have only had one night of sleep since I got my band, and it was at the hospital and I was pumped full of morphine, I also had a nurse coming in once every hour to give me more meds and such, and I was still a little loopy of the anasthesia. Tonight will be the first night in my own bed. All day I've had a big ice pack over my whole stomach and its been really helpful with the itching and the pain, the ice all melted so its in the freezer now and the itching and pain is a lot worse without it. Maybe try sleeping with some ice on your tummy?? I'm probably going to, I think it helps dull everything a bit. Congrats on the weight loss babe!!!!!!!!
