Hang in there...you are NOT alone. I am dealing with the same issue. Haven't lost a pound since my post-op visit on June 4th! And I go back in forth in my head, questioning if I should have gotten the RNY. I considered it in the beginning.
BUT I went with the LAP-BAND
® for a reason. I keep going over those reasons in my head and it helps. I *wanted* slow weight loss. I wanted to have more control over what I ate and how much. I wanted to have to work hard to obtain loss and not so much have the "easy way out". I wanted a safe procedure, not having my insides cut and attahced - with the possiblity of leaks. I knew this was going to be tough, but not as hard as it has been.
I just go over and over in my mind, why I chose the LAP-BAND
®. It helps. And I also remind myself that it has only been just under a month since surgery. 17 pounds down in a month is darn good! And you are down 10! That is HUGE.
Just keep trucking along. We will eventually get results. Have a chat with your nutritionist to be sure you are doing the right thing. Keep up with yoru fills and you will have weight loss. The LAP-BAND
® works - we just have to have patience.
That is what I am struggling with. PATIENCE. It will be worth it in the end. I promise you!
