Waiting for insurance approval!!!!!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since my last post and I cannot believe that I have finally come to the point of insurance approval! I am holding my breath and should hopefully hear something in about 7-10 days! I remember finding this site back in January and reading almost everyone's posts! It gave me so much information and helped tremendously. I have seen ALL the required Doctors, been for a sleep study, attended the nutrition classes and had all my doctor recorded weights for about 4 months. I was told that I needed 6 but I am hopeful they will accept 4. I truly cannot believe the time is here and I pray that my insurance will not let me down. I have BC/BS Direct Access of NJ. I will keep you all posted on how things are going. I was told that if approved, the surgery could be by the end of June beginning of July. I was hoping a little sooner but I have waited 40 years to start my life and I pray that all will go smoothly. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hey Dee, welcome back. It sounds like things are progressing well. Hopefully you will have a date soon, let us know.

Wow, Dee! Congratulations on making it this far. The summer will be here before you know it and you'll have your band and be on your way! Keeping my fingers crossed for you with the insurance company and finally getting that date set. Good luck!

Dee, I'm with you. I have over a year and a half of supervised dieting but it was 4ish years ago ... I pray they take it and I don't have to wait 6 months. I hope it goes well for you - keep us all posted!
