Waiting on insurance approval

I have done all the nutrition classes,had my bloodwork,and everything else I have to do.Now is the hardest part of waiting on final approval from insurance.I have United Health Care and have been told they are pretty good at approval but it has been 3 weeks now and I am going out of my mind.Everyone is telling me to call the Dr's office and find out about it but I don't want to be a pain.Has anyone else had any experience with the same insurance company and if so is it supposed to take this long for approval?:help:

Sometimes you just have to be a pain to get anything done. I had to be a pain just yesterday to get the ball rolling yet again with my insurance and appointments.

I'm in the same situation. I've done everything they requested and now just playing the waiting game. My insurance is aetna ppo
