Take a deep breath

Hello to all the present and future lap-banders,

This is my first post though I have been reading others for about 2 months now while I went through the decision and learning process about LAP-BAND® surgery. I got my medical clearance today along with my first nutrition visit. Now I feel like this is really going to happen. I have to wait 5 weeks to see the surgeon with the psych vist in between so it looks like surgery will be in about 2 months.

Any suggestions on how to make this time go smoother would be appreciated. My emotions vary between mild anxiety to sweet anticipation and I do feel as if I am on a bit of a roller coaster.

Thanks, Beza

Re: Take a deep breath

Hi Beza: Your title says it all, "Take a Deep Breath." And hang on tight. The process is a roller coaster ride of mixed emotions.

I was happy, scared, and filled with anxiety. But I made it and you will to. Welcome to LBT!

Good luck.

Although it is hard to be patient at a time that is so crucial, that is all that you can try to do. Stay positive and continue to focus on everything that you have learned to keep the weight off during your approval period. Good luck.
