Pre Band

My turn to get banded. I am so excited and nervous and the same time. I am ready for a life changing experience but terrified of failing. I have been thinking about getting banned for over a year. I been reading here for a month or so and can't tell you how much it has helped me make the final decision of getting it done. Thanks to those before and after pictures, they are awesome. My band date is 08-18-06 with Dr. Spivak in Houston. I hear nothing but great things about him. Wish me good luck and good health!! :nervous

TWO more days! I know you're excited.. I remember being a bit anxious (nervous) the last day or so as well! It's all those small pesky questions you think about... Did I buy the right things for liquid phase?, what should I wear to the surgicenter?, etc.. Dr Spivak performed my band surgery in Oct last year... Just today I went in for another fill, I've lost a total of 50lbs over the past 10 months. I'm happy about that, it's great to "find" so many clothes in my closet I haven't been able to wear the past couple of years and I steadily outgrew them!

Thanks guys. You're right. I am so nervous. I have managed to give myself hives and had a few days of my period two weeks early!!! I feel like every meal is my last one! Not over eating, but You know...."I won't have this for a long while."

I am 38 years young with three children (7, 10, 18) and a loving husband. I am 288lbs and want to get to 130lbs. I will be happy with 180lbs. I know it is far away, but my life is worth it. I know you all probably felt the same way. This will be my chance to be around longer for my children and to keep my honey in line, hee hee hee.
