Post No confidence to face the day-newbie-

Hello everyone,

My name is Erin and i am just starting the process on friday to see if i am able to get banded. I am 19 and have been overweight since i was a small child, i have never been fit. I am also a full times student in college going to be a teacher. Being a bigger girl i dont have the confidence some days to face the world and being judged by all the smaller people. I just want the confidence to be me and not this chunker i see in the miror every morning. I am 189 lbs but with only a BMI of 34, yes i know you need a bmi of 35 to even be considered. I have been in weightwatchers, done the atkins diet, and every other diet there is. I have done well in them but always gained the weight back becasue i needed help, and being a large person runs in my family. I am looking for some information and guidence from anyone willing to give me some words of wisdom. Thanks to all that reply and i hope everyone is doing great on your journeys to a new and healthy life!

Erin, I had a bmi of below 30...so don't let a low bmi stop you.

Good luck on your journey.
