Newbie from Texas

Hello. Just wanted to say hello! I am new here. I will be having my second evaluation on 7/3. I did one back in November and I was afraid to move forward at the time. I wish i had just sucked it up and gone ahead. I am a little nervous and hope things move pretty quick. Can anyone give a timeline? My insurance has already been pre-certified. Thanks!

Hi, I'm in TX too (San Antonio). After your Dr. gets the ok from the insurance company it moves VERY fast, well it did for me. I think if your insurance already said "yes" then your surgery can be as soon as you and the Dr. find a date and time good for both of you. I was nervous too but I am SOOOOOOOO glad I just sucked it up and did i. I have ZERO regrets. Well except that I would eat as healthy as I did a month ago, lol.
Best of luck. Oh, who's your Dr.?

Dr. Hollis is my Dr. I heard that he is one of the best and I am hopin so. After Thursday I guess I will know better how quick it may move. I notice that for others here that it seemed to move very fast. Is there a difference that I am missing?

Bastrop Tx here. I had my surgery in Houston 6/20/08 and Dr. Felks was my doctor. Are you going through True Results in Houston? They are wonderful! I am week 2 post-op thick liquid diet and have lost 19lbs so far .

I am going through true results here in houston. I have heard lots of good things about the center and the doctors. So I am looking forward to the process.

So I called United Healthcare today to verify if the procedure was covered. There were not many hoops they required but the said my BMI needed to be either 40 or above and that I had to be employed for 2 years to have been approved.:confused2::confused2: What does that have to do with anything? Has anyone heard of this?
