It will be fine!

Acruzn, I am in the same boat as you. Weight is out of control and the 50's are going to be here before I know it . I became a bander on June 10th. It wasn't that hard--They also repaired a hiatal hernia also. By day three, I was feeling really good. I did have the shoulder pain, but that has gone away. Now I am waiting for my fill. What I am realizing is that I will not but able to eat the way I used to. I will have to make lifestyle changes; get off my butt and move. This has probably been the hardest for me. But I had to do something. For me the surgery was the easy part.

All the surgeries can have complications, it's up to you to see what you can live with. Most of us here wanted the least invasive surgery and something that could be removed usually without any damage. Check a thread by Wassabubblebut.she had the sleeve done after problems with the band. Lots of info out there. She had great sucess with the band.

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. Question? How do you get that tickerfactory deal on your file? I am a newbie to this. Also did you "come out" and tell your whole family? I am a little bit hesitant to tell my kids until later, etc.

Do you feel healthier than before? What types of exercises do you do most often? ~Acruzn

Go to the website pick what you want then copy the code and paste it to your signature site big block on the personal profile. It comes up as numbers but the ticket tape shows somehow. As for excerise I've been bad and only go to the gym 2 times a week. I do about 20 minutes on eliptical and 20 minutes on treadmill. I should be better.

Thanks! I'll try that...

I am exploring my options, but I'm positive I need to be making overall lifstyle changes. I feel confident because I quit smoking in 1990 and that was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I still crave cigarettes to this day & I've stayed smoke free. I just have to make exercise regular & quit stuffing my emotions.

I was banded 9-1-07 started at 312 and am at 206# today. I am also 50 this year. This was the best thing i have ever done... I wish I would have done it sooner, its not that hard. It's all about choices. I think my support group really helps me stay on track. I follow the rules and I have had such a weight loss I'm sticking with it. U can too. welcome to the loosers club...
