| new guy in missouri
Wow. I have never done anything like this before. I'm 46 5'6" 252lbs. I'm am just starting the lap band process. I have read a lot of the post and you guys sound so positive. Thanks!!! That really helps. I will be a frequent visitor. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Welcome Spark. The band isn't a miracle cure or the perfect solution, but I think most of us are happy that we made the decision to do it. I'm sure you will be too. Best of luck to you.

Welcome from Texas Spark and great luck to you on the Lap Band.As Robin said the only regret you will have is why did'nt I know about this before now. I am almost at my goal (ticker wrong) and would do this again in a heart beat. Keep us up-dated.:)

Another fellow Missourian here, from the Kansas City area. My surgery is scheduled for 2/15 so I am getting very excited. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hi Ambrosia, I am from the KC area. Now residing north of St. Louis, but still a Chiefs fan!!! I will keep checking in on you to see how things are going. I have no date yet. I will let you know.

Hey Spark! :wave: Welcome to LBT! I am from Northeast Missouri and was banded in November. Lap Band has opened possiblities to me that I never thought would be possible. There are a bunch of wonderful people here and a ton of knowledge. If you can't find what you are looking for, just ask.
BTW, Are you working with a surgeon already or just researching on your own?
